Descrição geral
Skatole is an indole derivative with a strong fecal odor that occurs naturally in feces formed due to the degradation of tryptophan. It is found in several flowers such as jasmine owing to its flowery smell when present in low concentration.[1] Skatole is also one of the key contributors to the development of boar taint in fat samples.[2]
