Descrição
General description
N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) is widely used to compose the solvent mixtures for cellulose. Static and dynamic light scattering studies of the cellulose dissolved in varying concentrations of DMAc/LiCl mixtures have been reported.[3]
Application
N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) has been employed as an organic solvent for the liquid-phase exfoliation of pristine graphene from bulk graphite.[4]
It may be used to compose the solvent system along with lithium chloride (LiCl) for the dissolution of commercial rayon grade cellulose.[1] DMAc/LiCl solvent mixtures have been used for the preparation of chitin, cellulose and polyimide fibers and films.[2]
N,N-Dimethylacetamide may be used in the preparation of α-lithio N,N-dimethylacetamide.[5] DMAc along with palladium chloride forms an efficient catalytic system for the oxidation of several internal olefins to carbonyl compounds without undergoing isomerization.[6]
