Descrição geral
1-Octadecene is a long-chain hydrocarbon used in the synthesis of nanoparticles as a capping and reducing agent.[1]
Aplicação
1-Octadecene has been commonly used as a non-coordinating solvent for growing nanoparticles and quantum dots due to its high boiling point.[2][3][4] The 1-octadecene monolayer is a promising passivating coating in nanoelectronics due to its stability and chemical protection against oxidation, effects of acids and bases without altering the properties.[5]
