RS504393 has the ability to block the upregulation of pronociceptive factors, like IL-1 (interlukin 1) β, IL-18 (interlukin 18), IL-6 (interlukin 6) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), that are induced by chronic constriction injury (CCI).[2]

RS504393 is a highly selective CCR2 chemokine receptor antagonist.
